¡@¡@WT Microelectronics and FairChild Semiconductor attended RosettaNet Global Partner Conference and showcased RosettaNet based B2B connection
¡@¡@April 28, 2005 - Taipei - WT Microelectronics Co. Ltd (3036), one of the leading electronics component distributors in Asia Pacific, today announced the company has deployed the RosettaNet-based quoting solution, enabling streamlined quoting between WT Microelectronics and one of its main suppliers, Fairchild Semiconductor. The advanced solution was demonstrated jointly by WT Microelectronics and Fairchild - one of the largest IC suppliers - at the RosettaNet Global Partner Conference in Beijing, China on April 21, 2005.
¡@¡@RosettaNet is the world wide standard for B2B connection, with 500 global consortium partners in driving e-business standards for the high tech industry. WT Microelectronics already established RosettaNet 3A4, 3A7 and 3A8 B2B practice with Asus, MSI, and Mitac. This is the first time we establish 3A7 connection with a vender.
RosettaNet Global Partner Conference is an annual event, where two-day education and networking event will bring together a global audience of more than 500 established RosettaNet consortium members for informative sessions and networking opportunities. China Central Television (CCTV) was on hand to broadcast the entire event live.

¡@¡@With the implementation of RosettaNet-based quoting system, our sales force can easily establish B2B connection with Fairchild Semiconductor to request up to minute RFQ (request for quote) for our customers. With the new quoting system, we saved tremendous amount of time and man power, and greatly enhanced our ability to react quickly to market opportunities.
"The whole project was a very rewarding experience, and creating such system was no easy task." said Seymour Chen, WT's senior director, IT. "This project crossed 3 different time zones. Just to get all necessary personnel up at the same time was a challenge. It was quite an experience for all of us on conference calls and system tests."

¡@¡@No mater what the difficulties was, the benefit of this system is undeniable. WT Microelectronics and Fairchild Semiconductor will collaborate on future B2B projects, such as design tracking system, order manager system, and resale quote system, to make RosettaNet-based quoting system the most comprehensive B2B solution in the business.
